Newfoundland Moose

Come and discover the pristine wilderness of Newfoundland. This outfitter is
located in the heart of one of the most remote hunting areas in Newfoundland. This is a family run operation and they pride themselves in the fact that they are the owners, guides and cooks which provide the best possible personalized service to their guests. They operate six different camps. Some of the camps are only accessible by plane or helicopter. In addition to the main camps they utilize “spike camps” depending on game movement and  weather conditions. Moose can weigh 1200 pounds or more, but despite their size are able to move swiftly and gracefully along the fringes of marshes and nearly impenetrable forest. Moose season falls within the time of the annual mating urge when bulls may be called by guides to within easy rifle or  bow shot. The Moose will average 40 inches with some taken in the 50’s each season.
