If you ever wanted to hunt Wyoming in the rut,
this is the place to hunt and harvest a rutting Wyoming Mule Deer
or Whitetail Deer. The hunt takes place on a 10,000 acre plus
ranch. The lower area of the ranch is comprised of cultivated
fields where the Whitetails are hunted. The Mule Deer use the
rugged upper country. The best approach to have when hunting this
ranch is to be open-minded when it comes to hunting either Mulies
or Whitetails. We generally hunt in the fields for the Whitetails
in the morning and evenings, then go to the upper country after
Mulies during the day.Your license will be good for either a Mule
Deer or Whitetail, not both.
The guide ratio is one guide per two hunters. The weather is usually
cold and snow is to be expected. This hunt will be a town hunt.
The guide service, transportation and field lunch are provided.
Hunter pays for his motel and meals during the hunt. If driving
to Wyoming drive directly to Newcastle, Wyoming. If flying, either
fly into Rapid City, SD or Casper, WY then rent a car and drive
to Newcastle. A local meat processor in Newcastle will be used
to process your animal.
We limit this hunt to 10 hunters each year, which is spread out
through a 20-day season. You can also take a Merriam turkey on
this hunt. The turkey license will be applied for after the Deer
drawing. The Antelope and Deer license draw rate is usually 100%
along with a 100% success rate.
