HUNT # 3

This outstanding property of 100,000 acres is truly a western classic. We have controlled the numbers of animals that have been harvested each year which has lead to quality hunting for Elk, Mule Deer and Antelope. The terrain varies from vast juniper canyons, patches of aspen and thick stands of pine. This ranch is also home to a resident herd of Elk numbering 600-800 head, although not an easy tag to draw the opportunity to take a mature Bull is virtually assured. The new Wyoming Preference Point System will guarantee this tag for those who participate in the program.

The hunting method involves leaving camp at daylight on horseback,as 4x4 vehicles aren't allowed at the landowners request. This method of hunting allows us to cover much more territory than walking to maximize your hunting opportunity.

This hunt can be combined with an Antelope hunt on a private ranch that has produced for us every year. This hunt is conducted with 4x4 vehicles as transportation. Once an animal is spotted the stalk is planned and we proceed on foot. Trophy caliber Antelope from 12"-14" can be found on these private ranches and classic 4 pointer Mule Deer (western count) with spreads from 20-28 inches have been taken.

Guide ratio is one guide per 2 hunters. Guides take care of all chores. The saddle horses and pack horses have been used by us for many seasons and have proven themselves to be gentle, surefooted, honest mounts.

In the year 2000 we built a new camp and facility for this hunt. The camp consists of a 24'x32' lodge where we dine and socialize. The bunkhouse has 6 client bedrooms with double occupancy and one 4 person client room. The camp has 4 full bathrooms with showers. Each bedroom has individual heat with carpeted floors and full size bunkbeds. Bedding and pillows will be provided so there is no need to bring a sleeping bag.We highly recommend this place for a husband/wife hunt. Camp capacity is 12-16 clients at one time. An on site meat cooler is also provided for the best possible care of your meat and capes. This fine camp along with the outstanding hunting makes this one of the best places in Wyoming to hunt. We have been on this ranch for 19 years and run close to 100% kill rate each year.
