HUNT # 2

For some fine Mule Deer hunting, plan on being in Wyoming in early October. This 92,000-acre lease features some prime Mule Deer habitat and several additonal ranches for Antelope hunting.The area produces 13"-15" Antelope on the average with some bigger bucks taken each year.

Access roads are fairly plentiful on the ranches so all hunts are conducted by 4x4 vehicle. The day begins with the hunters leaving camp shortly before daylight with their assigned guides (1 guide per 2 hunters). We spread out in different areas where the vehicle is often parked and the country is worked on foot. The mulies work their way out of the bottoms into the rough country looking for a place to hole up for the day. A lot of glassing and a careful stalk often results in an opportunity to collect that dream buck.

The Antelope hunting will take place either from motel out of Casper or camp depending on the area drawn. The Antelope hunt will take place first for up to 2 days then you will go to Deer camp. The Deer hunts will be 4-5 days depending upon how many days it takes to harvest your Antelope. This hunt will include all meals and lodging during the hunt.

The camp was built new in 1999 for this hunt. Bunkhouses were built with bedrooms that sleep 2-4 people. Husband and wife teams will have their own private room. Bedrooms contain bunkbeds with covered mattresses, carpeted floor, electric baseboard heat and electric lights. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. The camp has a seperate shower building containing 2 shower stalls with plenty of hot water. Toilet facilities are permanent on site out houses. The dining room is 24'x32' and heated. This is a very comfortable camp. A meat cooler will also be on site to help insure proper care of your game meat. Camp size is a maximum of 12-18 hunters per camp at one time.

Most years, success runs 100% on shooting with 95-100% kill rate on Buck Deer and Buck Antelope.The license draw rate runs 100% each year and the same for the success rate. A Trophy buck Antelope can be combined with your Trophy Mule Deer on this hunt. We have hunted this area for the last 16 years. Book early as this one fills up quick.
