Caribou

Newfoundland Caribou

Come and discover the pristine wilderness of Newfoundland. This outfitter is located in the heart of one of the most remote hunting areas in Newfoundland. This is a family run operation and they pride themselves in the fact that they are the owners, guides and cooks which provide the best possible personalized service to their guests. They operate six different camps. Some of the camps are only accessible by plane or helicopter. The caribou is a majestic animal and it is a rare privilege to encounter them in their natural habitat. Over the years this outfitter has produced some beautiful record book bulls scoring 400 or more points. The fact that the hunting pressure north of the 57th parallel is lighter has contributed to a success rate of 1.9 Bull Caribou per hunter over the last ten years. They own their own float planes which allows them to move their hunters (no extra charge) to a more productive area if there are no Caribou at your camp. Over the past five years success has run around 97% with some beautiful bulls making the record books. An added bonus to the trip is the fishing and the possible chance of taking a Black Bear for just the cost of the license. This is truly a great hunt.
